Back in March I was invited to the Harriet Wilde event at Aldea in Holmfirth to meet the designer of Harriet Wilde shoes and accessories, Ruth Shaw.
The event was hosted by Bijou Bridal Boutique who stock a variety of Harriet Wilde shoes and accessories. During the event, Brides to be had the opportunity to speak to Ruth and try on some of the beautiful shoes and accessories.
About Ruth
Ruth Shaw opened Harriet Wilde in 2008. The brand is named after her Great Grandmother, and this personal touch runs right through the business, from the design to delivery of the shoes and accessories.
The range of shoes in the Harriet Wilde collection is huge. They create flat, mid and high heels ranging from a size 3 to 8. There’s a bespoke service so you can find your perfect fit. Harriet Wilde shoes don’t break the bank either, with some styles starting at just £40 in the sale.
A personal touch
Embellishments can also be added to each pair of shoes. Customers can either choose from the main range or have a unique embellishment designed for a completely personal touch. My favourite embellishment of the day came from Bridgette Grey Cherry. The combination of colour and sparkle was beautiful.
During the event brides were also invited to speak to Get Gorgeous and Boootiful cakes. They supplied the hair and makeup along with some tasty cakes for the event.
Harriet Wilde has a boutique in London, and you can also find a stockist closer to home here.
