Adam and Charlotte chose to have their pre-wedding session at their wedding venue, Burntwood Court Hotel in Barnsley.
I met Adam and Charlotte in the reception areas of Burntwood Court hotel, in between rain showers. Usually we’d head outdoors to capture the images at the start of the session, but with the weather being the way it was we decided to flip the meeting on its head.
We went through the details of their wedding day, including the timeline of their day and the group shot list. They told me about their plans for the bridal preparation and who’d be in the wedding party – including the little ones!
By the time we’d ironed out all the details the rain had passed and we were able to head outdoors to explore the grounds of Burntwood together. One of my favourite things about being a photographer in Barnsley is being able to visit this venue regularly.
Adam and Charlotte were getting married in the chapel, and having the main hotel side of the building for their day. We worked out a route around the grounds that would mean their little one could come and go as she pleased, without missing out on any of the images they wanted to capture.
As our session came to an end the rain began to fall again – which was excellent timing!
