For their pre-wedding session Anne and Barclay chose Locke Park in Barnsley.
We spent some time enjoying the sun and going through the details of the wedding day before a short walk through the park. It was clear from their smiles that Anne and Barclay were meant to be together. As we were walking through Locke Park Anne’s engagement ring was glistening- I just had to capture it.
Throughout their pre-wedding session at Locke Park, Anne and Barclay were beaming at each other. They are so excited for their wedding , I can’t wait to be part of it. Their day will be held at The Bluebell Banqueting Suite at The Fairway, Dodworth. The night before the wedding they plan to stay in the hotel with all their family and friends before having their wedding ceremony in the Bluebell banqueting Suite section of the venue. The main focus of their day is that everyone enjoys themselves, both adults and children, so the venue they’ve chosen is absolutely perfect. Hopefully the weather will be just as beautiful on the day itself and everyone can enjoy the private garden of the venue.
Locke Park
Locke Park opened on 10th June 1862. It was originally known as the people's park, and was gifted to the people of Barnsley by Phoebe Locke. She gave 17 acres of land for the people of Barnsley to use. When she died in 1866 the Observation Tower (known as Locke Park Tower) was erected on the highest point of the park. Since then other parts of the park have been added, including the bandstand, play area, cafe, car park and gym equipment. Parking is free, and it's open dawn 'til dusk every day.
