Danielle & Andrew’s story
Danielle & Andrew had a gorgeous summer wedding at Burntwood Court Hotel.
I began the day with Danielle at her Mum’s house for the bridal preparations. She had her two bridesmaids with her, along with her beautiful flower girl Amber. The dresses were steamed, hair and makeup was done, and there were a few last minute bra alterations before the ladies were all ready to go.
Andrew & Danielle had chosen to be married at St. Edwards church on Racecommon Road, Barnsley. When I arrived at the church Andrew was waiting to greet his guests alongside his best man. Everyone was seated as the wedding car pulled into the Church grounds. Andrew watched on as the Bridal party walked down the aisle.
During the ceremony one of Danielle’s bridesmaids performed an acoustic set. She played and sung beautifully while the register was being signed.
Wedding Reception
All the guests followed the wedding car from the church to the reception venue at Burntwood court. The room was decorated in peach, with each table having a flower, candle and peach as a centrepiece. Having fruit on the table isn’t something I’d seen before but it worked really well with their colour scheme.
For the couples photographs Andrew, Danielle and I walked through the beautiful grounds of Burntwood. They’re littered with flowers and trees with gorgeous flower arches making perfect photo opportunities.
Danielle had asked her friend and singer, Sondelle, to perform during their evening reception. She has an amazing voice and managed to get everyone on the dancefloor almost immediately. She kept everyone dancing right up until the evening buffet arrived.
My favourite part of the day was their first dance. Neither Andrew nor Danielle wanted the spotlight, but rather than miss out on such a significant dance Sondelle encouraged everyone onto the dancefloor to share the moment with them.
