Sunny Spring Wedding

Julia and Thomas had a beautiful spring wedding at The Stables, Doncaster.

On the morning of the wedding I arrived at The Stables just before Thomas. It was such a beautiful day that the wedding party was able to make use of the courtyard area and enjoy the sunshine before the ceremony.

When everyone had arrived the guests all made their way into the ceremony room while the Bridesmaids waited for the arrival of the bride. Julia’s car pulled in front of the gates; she looked stunning as she stepped out in a fitted lace dress.

After the ceremony I whisked Julia and Thomas off for their couples’ shots. We found a beautiful tree with pink blossom almost ready to fall in The Stables grounds. It was a stunning backdrop, and also matched their colour scheme!

The wedding breakfast and evening room was decorated with white chair covers and hessian bows. This was reflected in the table plan and extra touches on the tables and cake decoration. Although the main colour in the bridesmaid’s dresses and groomsmen’s cravats was pink, the hessian complimented it perfectly.

The Sunshine

During the afternoon the guests made the most of the glorious weather by sitting in the courtyard. It had been raining for most of the week, so it was a lovely surprise when the sunshine stayed out all day!
One of my favourite things about having The Stables Doncaster as a wedding venue is how child friendly it is. The gates had been shut and locked, meaning the children could play without any chance of them running into the car park or road.

As the sun went down the guests made their way inside and onto the dancefloor. The evening reception went on with the DJ playing requests and the photobooth props providing loads of entertainment!
