‘I do’ wedding fayre

On Sunday I had a stand at my first I do wedding exhibition at Doncaster racecourse.

It was such a good day, not only for promoting my business but for meeting other exhibitors and finding out how to make the most of my stand. Everyone was really friendly and helpful; I got a few hints and tips of how to make it easier to set up for Septembers’ show.

Tonnes of people came to speak to me and look at my work. It was lovely to be able to speak to brides to be and get a feel for what they wanted. I was a little bit jealous of all the beautiful engagement rings though!

I was so close to the catwalk I had the chance to watch most of the show from my stand. I almost melted at all the dresses, they were absolutely stunning. During the day I also had the chance to walk around the exhibition. Some of the cakes looked amazing – my favourite had to be Party cakes. They had a ‘topsy tervy’ cake that looked as though it was just going to fall over, it fascinated me. Amanda’s cakes were also amazing, she could print photos onto icing and it looked so good.

I had a wonderful time; it seemed to go so quickly. Anyone that came to see me and entered the prize draw – check your emails! I sent out all the vouchers this morning.

Anyone that didn’t get a chance to come, my next wedding fayre is 12th April in the Rigby suite, Metrodome, Barnsley. I’ll put up more information closer to the time – come and say ‘hello’!
