Tankersley Manor Hotel Wedding
Adam & Keeley had a beautiful May wedding at Tankersley Manor Hotel.
The morning of the wedding, I met Keeley and her bridesmaids at home. They were all wearing matching wedding themed pyjamas (a Primark find!) and getting their hair and makeup finished. Everyone was relaxed, and the morning seemed to fly by. After helping Keeley with her shoes and garter, everyone was ready to go.
Meanwhile, at Tankersley Manor, Adam was greeting his guests as they arrived. When Keeley’s car arrived he showed everyone into the wedding ceremony room ready for her entrance. As she walked down the aisle all eyes were on her. She looked stunning, and Adam was beaming.
We were lucky enough to catch a few moments of sunshine after the ceremony, and so we all gathered outdoors for the large group photographs. The heavens opened just as we’d finished photographing Adam’s side of the family, so it was an about turn to finish the images indoors. Although it wasn’t exactly what we’d planned, the mix of images works well together.
Just before the guests were invited to take a seat for the wedding breakfast, I popped into the room to capture a few images of the table settings. Then I saw it. The cake had two sides – two VERY different sides! Keeley’s choice was a plain white icing with pink, blue and white sugar roses. It matched their theme perfectly, and looked very elegant. Behind that was Adam’s side. He’d chosen to go full Sheffield Wednesday. All three tiers were covered in the club colours, with the badge right at the top!
During the wedding breakfast the cake was turned to show the alternative side – to the joy of the guests! The evening guests began to arrive and the dancefloor was heaving. It had to be cleared off for the first dance, and stayed full all evening.
