Wortley Hall Hotel Wedding
Aimee and Dylan were married at Wortley Hall Hotel in February. They had a beautiful day with their family and friends enjoying the stunning grounds.
Aimee and Dylan watched some of the virtual wedding fayres I was involved in during lockdown. They got in touch after one of the virtual fayres to ask a few more questions and to arrange a meeting to talk about their day. Planning their wedding during lockdown wasn’t the easiest task, but they managed it really well.
On the day of the wedding I met Aimee in one of the bridal suites at Wortley Hall Hotel where she was getting ready with her bridal party. The atmosphere in the room was very relaxed as they has their hair and makeup done, and practices walking down the aisle!
The morning flew by and soon it was time to get into the dresses for the wedding ceremony. There was a nervous anticipation as we waited for the wedding coordinator to come and collect the girls from the bridal suite. Downstairs Dylan was waiting in the ceremony room with the wedding guests for the bridal party entrance.
After the wedding ceremony we went straight into the grounds of Wortley Hall to capture all the group shots. It was a chilly February day, and while it wasn’t rainy we wanted to get the big groups done as quickly as possible so guests could choose to head back indoors. When the group shots were complete, we headed further into the grounds to capture the couple portraits of Aimee and Dylan. The snowdrops were still in bloom, giving us a gorgeous carpet of white and green for some of their shots.
Back inside guests were making their way into the wedding breakfast room. Aimee & Dylan had chosen to have a sweetheart table as their top table, with their parents and wedding party seated around other tables in the room. When it came to the speeches, the speakers stood next to the top table so they could easily be seen by the whole room.
Evening guests began to arrive, and the dancefloor was so full it had to be cleared to make space for the newlyweds’ first dance! Everyone flocked back to the dancefloor as soon as they could, and the party went on right into the evening.
