Amy and Andy had a gorgeous autumn wedding at The Ironworks Building at Elsecar Heritage Centre in Barnsley.

I met Amy and her bridal party at her home on the morning of the wedding. They were all getting ready together in the front room, with hair and makeup going on near the huge windows. Upstairs, Amy’s wedding dress and accessories were all laid out just waiting to be worn.

The morning flew by, and soon it was time for us to make our way to Elsecar Heritage Centre. At The Ironworks building Andy was with his best man welcoming guests. As it was an early ceremony they’d had the amazing idea to have welcome drinks in the form of tea and coffee! It was an incredibly popular station (and not just because I love a cuppa!).

After the ceremony we all went into the courtyard for the group shots. The tea and coffee station was still going strong, and it was a welcome warmth in the October sunshine. When the group shots were finished, I went with Amy and Andy to explore the heritage centre and capture their couple portraits.

When we’d captured the formal images, we made our way back to the Ironworks. The catering staff were putting the finishing touches to the meal, and the whole room smelled of hot pie and peas.

During the afternoon I captured all Amy and Andy’s family and friends enjoying the day. I was also initiated into the very exclusive kids club and allowed to wear a flashing pirate ring! It was definitely a career highlight.

Evening guests started to arrive as the DJ was finishing his set up. The music started and the atmosphere in the building was amazing. The fairy lights on the ceiling gave a romantic glow to this industrial venue, and while Amy and Andy did their first dance everyone watched.

It was a stunning day from start to finish, and these two both looked incredibly happy all day.
