Amy and Tom had a stunning wedding ceremony at Gawber church followed by a tipi reception by Woodside Weddings in Grange Moor.

At their pre-wedding meeting Amy had decided that she didn’t want any images of the bridal preparations, but would like to capture her leaving the house for the last time as a Miss. So on the morning of the wedding I met her at her parent’s house just as they were leaving for the church. It was such a lovely moment to capture portraits of her parents and bridesmaids before they left for the ceremony.

In Gawber church, tom and his groomsmen were anxiously waiting for the arrival of the wedding party. Guests were greeted by two groomsmen on the path to church, shown to their seats by the groomsmen inside and Tom waited with his best men at the top of the aisle. It was organised perfectly. When Amy and her bridal party walked down the aisle, everyone was beaming. The ceremony was filled with laughter and tears, and is one I won’t forget for a long time.

After capturing some family portraits outside the church, we made our way to the reception venue at Woodside weddings, in Grange Moor. The tipi was decorated with bales of hay, long wooden tables and fairy lights over a hessian path. The weather was so gorgeous guests were able to grab a drink and stay outdoors until it was time for the wedding breakfast. The speeches were hilarious, full of stories of the couple from their parents, siblings and friends. By the time they were done most guests were crying with laughter. When the wedding breakfast finished we captured more group shots and couple portraits before heading back into the tipi where the DJ had set up.

What followed was an amazing night of rock songs and dance offs. When I left, guests were rollin’ on the dancefloor.
