Tara & Rob’s Wedding
Tara & Rob asked me to be their photographer for their stunning bonfire night wedding at The Holiday Inn Barnsley.
I met Tara and her Bridesmaids at her Mum’s house where hair and makeup was well under way. Rob had organised for a range of gifts to be given to Tara during the morning, including a huge bouquet of beautiful red roses.
The morning went by really quickly, and soon it was time to head up to the church. The ceremony was taking place in St Thomas & St James Church Worsbrough where I found Rob outside with his Groomsmen. They helped everyone to their seats as the bridesmaids arrived. The flower girls and pageboy had been given a teddy bear each dressed in the same outfit they had – they were adorable!

After the ceremony we drove in convoy to the Holiday Inn Barnsley. As it was November, the weather was beginning to turn cold so we got straight outside for a group photograph. The newlyweds then came into the Secret Garden for their couples images. The lighting in the garden was amazing, and the colours of the fallen leaves gave their images a beautiful autumn feel.
Back indoors the wedding breakfast tables were having some final touches added by the best man.
During his speech he invited everyone to open the envelopes he had placed on their tables, which contained photographs of the groom at various stages in life. He took the opportunity to introduce a very special guest who had been at the stag!
As it was Bonfire night we couldn’t go through the whole day without a few sparklers. We went back outside in the dark to create some gorgeous light trails and help ‘love sparkle’. When all the sparklers were finished we all ran back to the dancefloor where we stayed for the rest of the evening.
My favourite part of the day was the toffee apple box. It was such a lovely idea, and the “Apple’y ever after” sign on the front made me smile!
