Tankersley Manor Wedding
Emma & Karl asked me to be their photographer at their Tankersley Manor, Barnsley wedding. It was a beautiful day full of family, friends and laughter.
I first met Emma at a wedding fayre at Holiday Inn Barnsley. She had one of the brightest smiles I’d ever seen, it was positively contagious. We got on well, and after meeting Karl I became the wedding photographer for their Tankersley Manor wedding.
When I arrived at Tankersley Manor on the morning of the wedding her smile had grown even more. During the morning Emma, her mum and bridesmaids all had their hair done by Rachel at Morgan Hairdressers, and makeup by Danielle Simmons. The bridesmaid’s dresses were beautiful. Rather than go for a traditional look, the girls had all chosen their own dresses. They all had a completely different look, but each person felt comfortable. The flowers tied them all together – they looked amazing.
The ceremony was held in Tankersley Manor and so after a few shots with the Groom and Best man everyone went indoors to take their seats. Emma looked stunning as she walked down the aisle. Her smile never faltered, and Karl’s face lit up in response.
After the ceremony we went outdoors to explore the grounds. The younger bridesmaids wanted to be involved, so we organised a mini photo shoot of their own while we were out!
As the day went on and the evening guests arrived there was just enough time to capture the bridesmaids funky moves on the dancefloor.
My favourite part of the day was Emma’s flowers. She’d make then herself and they were expertly done. The colours ties the bridesmaid dresses together, and the dragonfly pin was a lovely touch. I fell in love with the ‘bride’ ceramic at the base of the bridal bouquet.
