Burntwood Court Wedding
Gemma & Dan were married in the chapel at Burntwood Court Hotel this summer. During lockdown Burntwood have spent a lot of time, money and effort into creating a wonderful space for wedding ceremonies to take place. When Gemma and Dan asked me to capture their day I was incredibly excited to photograph them at this new venue.
I met Gemma in one of the hotel rooms on the morning of the wedding. She was getting ready with her girls and was already looking amazing. The morning flew by and soon we were watching guests arrive, armed with umbrellas on their way to the chapel.
The wedding ceremony was perfect. The ring bearer was their son and he did his job incredibly well. He didn’t let the ring box go until after the whole ceremony was complete. Gemma and Dan were smiling at each other throughout the service; it was lovely to see them so happy together.
Due to the weather we captured the biggest group shot inside the chapel before moving across to the Qube cocktail bar. Once there we used the new conservatory space for the smaller group shots – keeping everyone out of the rain! Luckily there was a break in the weather where we were able to utilise the grounds of Burntwood Court for some quick couple images.
As the evening continued we captured more of Gemma and Dan’s guests enjoying the day. During our pre-wedding talks they specified they wanted a LOT of natural photographs, and much less posed. That’s exactly what we did.
The newlyweds cut their cake, had their first dance and Gemma threw her bouquet into a flurry of ladies too. As I left guests were on the dancefloor and lining up for some delicious smelling evening food.
