Jade and Steven had a beautiful September wedding at Whitley Hall Hotel.

On the day of the wedding I met Jade and her bridal party at Whitley Hall Hotel. They had full use of one of the largest rooms, and it was full of activity. Three ladies were having hair and makeup done at the same time, dresses were being hung, and the flowers were arriving. There was an air of excitement from everyone. When the bridal suite was ready everything was moved across. Everyone got into their dresses before helping Jade into hers.

Downstairs in the ceremony room Steven was talking to all his guests and waiting for the arrival of the bridal party. They’d chosen the Whitley suite for their day and soon everyone was quiet in their seats. Jade looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle with her Dad, and both she and Steven relaxed a little more when they were standing close to each other at the front of the ceremony room.

When the ceremony was over we gathered all the guests in the gardens and captured the group shots. During the couples portraits guests wandered between the bar and outside areas, making the most of the dry part of the day. As theirs was the only wedding of the day, we were able to make use of both sides of the grounds to capture some perfect images.

It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and speeches, after which the evening reception began. As soon as it was possible the younger guests took to the dancefloor and stayed there for the entire evening – learning classic dances as well as teaching the bridesmaids new ones. There wasn’t a point when the dancefloor was empty; at times it even overflowed to the tables!
