All Saints Church Darfield & Whitley Hall Hotel Wedding
Janet & Frank had a stunning September wedding at All Saints Church in Darfield with their wedding reception at Whitley Hall Hotel in Sheffield.
On the morning of the wedding, I met Frank outside All Saints Church, Darfield. He was with his good friend and best man greeting guests as they arrived. When everyone had taken their seats the men went inside in anticipation of the bride’s arrival.
Janet had chosen a Beauford car in Ivory for her arrival to the church, and she looked like royalty as she pulled up to the gates. Her flower girl met the rest of the bridal party at the gates and they all walked down to the church doors together.
The ceremony itself was beautiful, and suited these two perfectly. I’ve been a wedding photographer in South Yorkshire for a long time, and so I’d met their Vicar, Fiona previously. She’s a lovely lady who makes every service as personal as possible. When it was over we captured the main group shots along with some images of Janet & Frank together before leaving for Whitley Hall Hotel.
Due to the weather the roof on the wedding car had to be up for the journey between the two venues. When we arrived at Whitley the driver pulled out all the stops to give Janet and Frank a much shorter journey with the roof down!
When they returned we captured the remaining group shots in the grounds of Whitley Hall Hotel along with their cake cutting and speeches. The Whitley Suite had been beautifully decorated in a blue and silver colour scheme, it looked fantastic.
As I left their guests were laughing, talking and enjoying their afternoon.
