The Rockingham Arms Wedding

Karyn and Andy had a beautiful spring wedding in Wentworth Church, with their reception at The Rockingham Arms.

On the morning of the wedding I met Karyn and her bridal party in one of the rooms at The Rockingham Arms. They’d chosen to stay the night before so that they could walk to Wentworth church for the wedding ceremony. It was such a sunny morning that in between getting ready we set up camp outsider around the back of the building, out of sight of the guests and Groom!

The hours seemed to fly by, and soon we were walking the short distance to the church. After a quick change of shoes Karyn was ready to walk down the aisle. During the ceremony everyone was beaming, it’s possibly one of most smiley weddings I’ve ever seen.

After leaving the church we captured most of the group shots before making use of the walk back to The Rockingham Arms. Along the walk there are some fantastic backdrops for photographs, including the church spire.

When we arrived back at the venue everyone was enjoying a drink in the beer garden. The sun had stayed out all day and all the guests were enjoying themselves. The reception room looked stunning. The dusky pink colours tied in with the rustic theme of the barn and the bunting hanging across the room brought everything together.

During the morning, the best man had taken on the task of writing the Groom’s speech. He’d included all the traditional points, along with a few key words that he challenged Andy to fit in. To the amusement, and amazement, of the top table Andy managed it flawlessly.

As the evening went on guests sat in the garden and got themselves on the dancefloor, it was a perfect combination of relaxed garden party and wedding disco.
