Katie and Josh had a stunning, colourful wedding day at St Margaret’s Church, Swinton and The Earl of Doncaster. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends.

On the morning of the wedding I met Katie at her Mum’s house where she was getting ready with her bridal party. The girls were mainly set up in the living room, with music playing and loads of laughter. It was a morning packed with high energy and excitement, so when the macarena started to play naturally everyone stopped what they were doing to dance!

This energy followed us throughout the wedding. It was soon time to make our way over to St Margaret’s Church where Josh and the wedding guests were waiting. The service itself was really intimate. The vicar had been conducting ceremonies for Katie’s family for years, so having him be part of her wedding was extra special for them.

After the ceremony we captured most of the group portraits outside church before moving on to The Earl of Doncaster. Just behind the venue is a park where we’d met for Katie & Josh’s pre-wedding session. This is where we captured most of the couples portraits before heading into The Earl to spend time with the wedding guests.

Following the speeches everyone was invited to the buffet dinner. It felt as though the food supply was endless, nothing seemed to run out! When everyone had eaten their fill, my favourite part of the day happened.

Katie & Josh made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. Part way through, their wedding coordinator pulled the lever and they were covered in brightly coloured confetti. They burst into laughter, the guests all cheered and it was a truly amazing photographic moment that mirrored the energy of the morning.

All too soon it was time for me to say goodnight and leave everyone to party away on the dancefloor.
