Sheffield Cathedral & The Hide Sheffield Wedding
Laura and James had a stunning wedding day in Sheffield. Their wedding ceremony was held at Sheffield Cathedral, with their reception taking place at The Hide.
On the morning of the wedding I met Laura and her bridal party in a hired flat in the city centre. It was a gorgeous space with loads of light. The open plan kitchen/dining/living space was perfect for a large bridal party to get ready in. Being central also meant that most of the wedding party could walk over to Sheffield cathedral for the ceremony, and that’s exactly what we did.
In the Cathedral James was waiting for the arrival of his bride. All eyes were on Laura as she walked down the aisle with her dad. She looked absolutely beautiful. The ceremony included some of the couple’s favourite hymns and readings – it was incredibly personal.
After the ceremony we all headed outdoors to capture the group shots. Following these Laura led a walking bus down to The Hide, where the tables were all set up for their wedding reception.
The Hide has two main function rooms, The Warehouse and The Canteen Hall. They’re very different spaces, but complement each other well. One has white walls, clean pillars and a bright and airy feel, where the other feels a little darker and more industrial. Laura & James (with the help of their wedding party) had both these spaces decorated with bright colours and personal touches throughout.
After the wedding breakfast the party got well under way. The first dance started as a romantic track, before changing into the conga – getting all the guests straight onto the dancefloor where they stayed for the whole evening.
