Burntwood Court Wedding
Louska and Adam had a beautiful September wedding at Burntwood Court Hotel, Barnsley. They chose the twilight package at Burntwood which meant they only required our part day photography package.
I met Louska on the afternoon of the wedding. She was getting ready in one of the annex rooms with her maid of honour, Lauren, and her bridal party. They’d had a relaxed morning and everyone was completely chilled when I arrived. Lauren had made the bridesmaid dresses, and they were stunning. They fit everyone perfectly and the colour was gorgeous.
When they were looking for wedding photographers, Adam and Louska wanted someone who could fit in with the timings of their day. The Twilight package at Burntwood includes a wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and then goes straight into the evening reception. There’s no wedding breakfast or large gaps in the day, but focuses on the evening celebrations. My part day photography package fit in with this perfectly.
The ceremony in the Chapel at Burntwood was beautiful. Every seat was filled with their friends and family, and there was a huge cheer as the newlyweds walked back up the aisle. Afterwards we all headed outside to capture the group shots at the Qube. The weather stayed fine all afternoon, and as the sun was setting everyone gathered around the dancefloor for the speeches.
Guests watched from the surrounding seats as the speeches took place. Then Lauren set up her guitar and mic and sang the first dance song. It was a beautiful personal touch, and made the first dance all the more special.
The party atmosphere carried on all evening with people on the dancefloor, using the photobooth and gathered around the bar. It was the perfect day.
