Lucy and George chose to have their pre-wedding session close to their home in Worsbrough, Barnsley. Their wedding venue, The Maynard, is around an hour’s drive away from home, so staying local was much more convenient for them.
I met Lucy and George at the colourful picnic benches on the Dove Valley section of the Trans Pennine Trail. It’s a section of the walk that I know very well as it’s adjacent to Worsbrough Mill and Country Park. It was a scorching hot day so we used the thick canopy of the trees to keep us shaded.
We followed the trail along underneath the old railway bridge before stopping at the next picnic bench near Wigfield Farm to go through the details of the day. These two have some amazing plans for their wedding – including having their (incredibly cute) sausage dog walking down the aisle!
After we’d got a timeline for the wedding day along with the group shot list, we made our way back to the start of the trail. We looped around past Worsbrough Reservoir, capturing some final images next to the water before finishing the session.
I’m very excited for this wedding; it’s going to be a lot of fun!
