The Fleece Countryside Inn Wedding
Paul and Anna were married at The Fleece Countryside Inn in Barkisland, Halifax on one of the summer’s hottest days. They were joined by their family and friends, and made full use of the outdoor patio area at the venue.
I met Anna at her parent’s house on the wedding morning. She was busy getting ready with her bridesmaids and parents; hair and makeup was well under way when I arrived. The morning flew by (as wedding mornings always seem to do) and soon it was time to get into the wedding cars and head to the venue. The neighbours on the street all came out to wave Anna off as she bustled her dress into the wedding cars.
At The Fleece Countryside Inn, Paul was waiting at the top of the aisle with his son. They were greeting wedding guests as they took their seats for the ceremony and telling jokes to one another to help ease the nerves.
When Anna walked down the aisle everyone smiled. She looked beautiful in her lace dress as her Dad proudly walked down the aisle next to her.
Following the ceremony we went outdoors for the group shots and some fresh air. It was so incredibly hot! Luckily The Fleece has huge floor to ceiling windows down one side of the room which were all opened in preparation for the wedding breakfast. Having these open extended the patio area so there was space for guests who loved the sun to share a table with those who preferred shade as we got further into the evening.
The sun set over the hills as we got to the cake cutting and first dance. As evening set in guests flocked to the dancefloor and were still dancing when I left.
