Barnlsey Town Hall Wedding
Vicky and John’s wedding plans changed quite a lot during the pandemic. Eventually, they decided to have their ceremony at Barnsley Town Hall followed by a reception in their back garden. With just a handful of guests, it was the perfect intimate day.
I met Vicky & John at the Town Hall in Barnsley just before their wedding ceremony began. The weather wasn’t looking good so the guests were taken inside and the ceremony started a few minutes ahead of time. With the restrictions at the time, guests were required to wear masks and be seated in a socially distanced fashion.
During the ceremony Vicky and John were beaming at each other. It was filled with laughter, hugs and happy tears.
After the ceremony we captured all our couple and group shots outside Barnsley Town Hall. As the last wedding of the day there was plenty of time to use the flowerbeds and cenotaph in the images too. We created a confetti tunnel for the newlyweds to walk through and got some amazing facial expressions!
The wedding reception was held a few minutes’ drive from the town centre in the couples’ back garden. They’d put up gazebos and decorated them with bunting, signs and balloons. It looked beautiful, and fitted in with the relaxed vibe of the day. For their wedding breakfast they provided their guests with sausage rolls, cupcakes and as many ‘Baby Guinness’ shots as they could manage!
