Vikki and Dave had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Holiday Inn Barnsley this summer. The sun shone all day giving these two the perfect setting for their secret garden wedding ceremony.

I first met Vikki way back in 2010 when we both worked together in Barnsley. We lost touch when we left that job, but while she was looking for a wedding photographer in South Yorkshire, my name popped up and she decided to get in touch. I was over the moon when I received her message to say she was getting married!

On the day of the wedding I met Vikki and her bridesmaids to capture their preparations. It was a busy morning full of laughter and prosecco. The sun was already shining, so we knew the outdoor wedding ceremony was definitely going ahead.

At the Holiday Inn Barnsley, Dave was greeting guests as they entered the secret garden. The red carpet had been laid out, and the chairs were all decorated with white covers and coral satin bows, matching the bridesmaid dresses. There was a flower arch on arrival with white flower decoration, complementing Vikki’s bouquet.

After the wedding ceremony we captured the group shots on the steps to the secret garden, before heading back through the stone gates to capture the couple portraits. There was just enough time for a change of shoes before the wedding breakfast began. The wedding breakfast room looked beautiful, with most of the decorations made by Vikki herself. They all tied into the theme perfectly, and looked gorgeous.

For the evening reception Dave had one of his favourite bands set up in the main reception room. They were absolutely amazing, and kept the guests on the dancefloor for the whole night. Paired with the inflatable instruments, it was an eventful night that I didn’t want to leave!
