2023 was another busy year for wedding photography. We’ve photographed weddings all over Yorkshire and had the opportunity to see some new venues too. It’s been amazing to capture so many different styles of wedding, in so many beautiful places. Here’s our round up of 2023 wedding venues in Yorkshire.
3 Acres Inn
The 3 Acres Inn is a versatile wedding venue in Huddersfield, South Yorkshire. They’re fully licensed for weddings, and offer the option of their indoor restaurant or outdoor tipi as the background for your wedding day. The views from The 3 Acres are stunning, with Emly Moore tower just over the road.

315 Bar and Restaurant
315 Bar and Restaurant is a beautiful wedding venue and spa in Huddersfield. They have accommodation on site as well as a highly rated spa. There’s plenty of car parking and views across Huddersfield for your wedding photographs.

Barnsley Town Hall
Barnsley Town Hall is one of our most visited registry offices for wedding ceremonies, and it’s just beautiful. The clean stone front gives the building a modern feel, while inside there’s the grand marble staircase and oak panelled rooms. Easily accessible in the centre of town, Barnsley Town Hall can hold weddings of any size. There are plenty of places for group shots and couple portraits in the surrounding areas as well as inside.

Briar Court Hotel
Briar Court Hotel in Huddersfield is a gorgeous wedding venue with the option for Italian food for your wedding breakfast. There’s a large free car park, plenty of accommodation and two rooms that are licensed for wedding ceremonies. While small, the grounds are the perfect backdrop for group shots and couples portraits.

Burntwood Court Hotel
Burntwood Court Hotel is one of our most visited wedding venues in Barnsley. The wedding chapel is a gorgeous setting for any wedding ceremony, and is included in every wedding package. The main hotel caters for full day weddings, while the Qube hosts evening and twilight packages. Both sides of the building have access to Burntwood Court Hotel’s grounds, full of trees and grassed areas with views over the adjoining fields too.

Holmfirth Vineyard
Holmfirth Vineyard in Holmfirth is a unique venue in a beautiful setting. The conservatory that wraps around the building means the view over the vineyard can be seen from every room in the venue. They’re fully licensed for wedding ceremonies, have free parking, and – of course – their very own wine too.

The Hospitium, York
The Hospitium in York Museum gardens is a 14th century listed building in the heart of York. Split over two levels with exclusive use, it makes a stunning background for any wedding. The ceremony and evening reception take place downstairs, with the large stone slab floors and pillars giving the whole floor a unique feel. Upstairs there’s stunning windows and a large space for the wedding breakfast. Outside, the whole of the York Museum Gardens are available for all your photographs.

The Maynard
The Maynard in Hope Valley is a modern wedding venue with a classic pub feel. There’s stone walls, stunning beer gardens with views over the Hope Valley and panelled rooms for your wedding ceremony and reception. The Maynard has accommodation on site, as well as a large free car park.

Shaw Lane Sports Club
Shaw Lane Sports Club has four function rooms and is surrounded by sports fields, making it perfect for a wedding of any size. The walk around the grounds has been carefully curated for all your wedding photographs, surrounded by flowers and greenery. There’s free car parking, and they have a full licence for wedding ceremonies too.

St James Church, Ryhill
St James Church at Ryhill is a traditional Church of England under The Priory Benefice. Built in 1876, it boasts stunning stained glass windows at the high altar which create a beautiful backdrop for any wedding ceremony. There are plenty of pews for a large congregation too.

The Venue, Barkisland
The Venue, Bowers Mill is an industrial feel wedding venue. There are large rooms with wooden floors and brick ceilings that can house weddings of any size. With exclusive use, there’s space for a children’s room, people to sit and chat at the bar and to dance the night away too.
Whirlowbrook Hall
Whilrlowbrook Hall is surrounded by stunning parkland. It has a gorgeous bridal preparation room with huge windows, as well as a romantic wedding ceremony space. The wedding breakfast room has floor to ceiling windows along one wall, flooding the space with light on even the drizzlyest of days.

Wortley Hall
Wortley Hall Hotel is one of our favourite Sheffield wedding venues. It has acres of grounds, loads of accommodation and oozes character. There’s a woodland walk, a large pond and curated flowerbeds. Inside you’ll find wooden floors, large fireplaces and a stunning library with huge windows flooding the space with light.
