Wedding Venues 2025

posted in: Wedding Tips | 0

In 2025 I captured weddings at some brand new wedding venues, as well as visiting some of my favourite venues in Yorkshire. It’s been a busy year, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of photographing weddings. Here’s a round up of the 2025 wedding venues I’ve visited.

All Saint’s Church, Darfield

All Saint’s Church in Darfield is a beautiful building that dates back to Norman times. Various parts of the building have been added over the years, with the most recent addition in 1905. The church hall shares the car park, and is a versatile space to hold different events – including wedding receptions.

Barnsley Town Hall

Barnsley Town Hall is a beautiful registry office in the centre of Barnsley. There’s a gorgeous stone front, stunning marble staircase and oak paneled rooms for the ceremony itself. There’s parking in the town centre car parks (free for up to 3 hours at weekends) and excellent public transport links too.

Burntwood Court Hotel

Burntwood Court Hotel is one of my most regular venues to photograph. There are two sections, the hotel and the Qube. The hotel is the perfect spot for a full day celebration, including a sit down meal. The Qube is the best spot for a twilight package with hog roast or pizza options. The chapel building is a breath taking space to hold a wedding ceremony, and the large grounds mean we can always capture varied wedding photographs.

The Earl of Doncaster

The Earl of Doncaster is a 1940’s art deco style wedding venue. Every inch of the building is dedicated to the style, from the main reception to the loos. This unique wedding venue has a huge stage, and the ability to host a confetti shower at the first dance too. Plus there’s a park just behind the building so you can capture a mixture of traditional and themed wedding photographs.

Mosborough Hall

Mosborough Hall is part of the Best Western group, and is a beautiful Sheffield wedding venue. It’s fully licensed for wedding ceremonies, and offers exclusive use of the Chatsworth suite giving every wedding complete privacy. The grounds may be small but they’re perfect for capturing your group shots and couple portraits, without missing any of the wedding fun.

Owston Hall

Owston Hall is a 17th century wedding venue in Doncaster. It has over 150 acres of grounds, including space for its popular golf course. Inside the rooms are all beautifully decorated, with high ceilings and attention to detail in every finishing touch.

Shaw Lane Sports Club

Shaw Lane Sports Club in Barnsley is a perfect wedding venue for low key weddings. There are four function rooms to choose from, and it’s fully licensed for wedding ceremonies. Outside there’s a stunning pathway for couple portraits, and space for large group shots too.

St.Margaret’s Church, Swinton

St Margaret’s Church in Swinton was built around the tower, which survived a fire in 1897. The stone used is from local quarries, and it looks beautiful against the grassed graveyard. Inside there are stained glass windows, and an organ that dates from 1903.

Whitley Hall

Whitley Hall hotel is a beautiful 16th century wedding venue in Sheffield. In 2025 there were works to add an extra seating area so wedding parties can spend even more time outside enjoying the beautiful grounds. There’s two pagodas which are both licensed for wedding ceremonies, a jetty over the lake, and gorgeous indoor spaces with chandeliers and a grand staircase.

Wortley Hall

Wortley Hall hotel is another of my regular wedding venues! It’s a beautiful stately home style venue in Sheffield. There are acres of grounds, including a woodland walk, kept gardens and large pond. Inside there’s a grand staircase and lots of room options for weddings of any size.
