Burntwood Chapel Wedding
Amy and Darren had a gorgeous summer wedding at Burntwood Court Hotel in Barnsley. It was a day full of laughter and family, and everyone had the best time.
I met Amy on the morning of the wedding in the conference room at Burntwood. This is the space provided for all the bridal preparations, and it was perfect for all the girls to spread out and get ready for the day. Everyone was very excited and Amy had coordinated the bridesmaid robes to match their dresses perfectly.
When it was time to get Amy into her dress, we moved into the bridal suite. The energy changed from pure excitement to a calmer mood while Amy was being fastened into her corset back. The first look with her Dad was emotional, it’s one of my most memorable first looks.
We made our way to the Burntwood Chapel for the wedding ceremony. It was planned that Phoebe, Amy and Darren's daughter, would be the ring bearer, but the ceremony clashed with her nap time so she slept down the aisle. She was so sweet all day, and managed to wake up in time to see her parents sign the marriage schedule.
After the ceremony we captured the main group shots, followed by the couples portraits. When all the formal photographs were complete, we had plenty of time to capture natural wedding photographs of everyone enjoying the day. It was so lovely to be able to sit in the sunshine and make the most of the weather.
Eventually the rain did arrive, luckily as everyone was making their way inside to enjoy the rest of the celebrations. The dancefloor opened with Amy & Darren’s first dance, followed by a father daughter dance. Then everyone joined in, and when I left guests were still jumping around on the dancefloor. It was a perfect day.
