Shaw Lane Evening Reception
Amanda and Steve asked me to be their photographer for their fun filled evening reception with all their family and friends.
After a destination wedding Amanda and Steve decided to have an evening reception at Shaw Lane Sports Club. They invited both the guests who could make the wedding, and their family and friends who couldn’t be there. It was important to them that all their loved ones were a part of their wedding celebrations.
On arriving at Shaw Lane we began with some group shots. It was just as important for this couple to have memories of their evening as their actual wedding day. The Griffin Suite created the perfect backdrop after the hot summer had made it impossible for the plants to thrive. Because the bowling green wasn't fit for use, it meant we were able to use it all evening. The children of the wedding loved being able to play in the open spaces, and spent their evening running around playing games with each other.
As the evening went on the dance floor got busier and busier. By the time the live singers came on stage everyone was up on their feet.
Before I left we managed to squeeze in enough time to cut the cake. The four tier masterpiece had been made by one of the couples close friends. The flowers on it were all intricately created with the yellow centres matching the bridesmaid dresses and room decorations beautifully.
My favourite part of the day was the bridesmaid dresses. They were a stunning pale yellow colour and the style of the dresses really suited the girls.
