Charlotte and Eric chose to have their pre-wedding session at their wedding ceremony venue, Barnsley Town Hall. It was a drizzly March day, but the rain held off just long enough for us to capture some images outside.
As the weather was a little unpredictable, we decided to begin the session with the photograph section. We walked around the outside of Barnsley Town Hall discussing where the best spot to capture their group shots would be, and looking at spots for their couple portraits. They both really liked the stairs in the front of the building, so we’ll definitely incorporate these on the day!
Luckily there were no appointments inside Barnsley Town Hall when we arrived, so I was able to show Charlotte and Eric the grand staircase and point out which room they’d be in for the wedding ceremony. Neither of them had been inside that far before, so it was lovely to have the opportunity to help them become familiar with the building.
After we’d captured the images we needed, the rain began to pour. We decided to pop over to Falco Lounge for a warm drink and to discuss the details of the day. After their ceremony we’d be heading over to Shaw Lane Sports Club for the wedding reception with guests from around the world. These two had planned a buffet lunch and an early finish time so they could order a KFC tea!
I’m really looking forward to capturing this wedding day, it promises to be relaxed and a lot of fun.
