Wortley Hall Hotel Wedding
Fran and Mark had a beautiful winter wedding at Wortley Hall in Sheffield. They both come from huge families, and it was so lovely to see everyone come together to celebrate with them.
I met Fran in the Wortley Hall Hotel bridal suite on the morning of her wedding. She was getting ready with the ladies of her family, all the way down to baby Olive. The deep red bridesmaid dresses were hung with her wedding dress, and there was a constant excitement as the girls all prepared for the day.
Downstairs, guests were starting to arrive and greet Mark in the bar. Soon it was time for everyone to take their seats and wait for the bridal party to come down the stairs. Throughout the ceremony Fran and Mark beamed at each other, it was contagious!
Almost every detail of this wedding had been created by their family. The cake, decorations, and wedding favours had all been hand made and they looked stunning. It was amazing to walk around the room and see who had created which part.
After capturing family photographs just outside the steps of Wortley Hall, Sheffield, I walked with Fran and Mark around the grounds. Despite the colder weather we decided to go for the long route around, taking in the pond with the huge knotted tree, the iron gate and the walled garden. It really is a gorgeous and varied venue for photographs in any season.
While the day had been full of family, all their friends were invited to the evening reception. The ballroom filled up quickly, and everyone gathered around for the first dance and cake cutting in the middle of the dance floor. It seemed like nobody left, and the dance floor was full all evening!
It was the most beautiful, family filled winter wedding day.
