Chelsea & Matthew | The Beehive, Barnsley - Charlotte Elizabeth Photography

Chelsea and Matthew had a local Barnsley based wedding. Their wedding ceremony took place at Barnsley Town Hall with their wedding reception at The Beehive function room above The Garrison in Barnsley town centre.

I initially met Chelsea and Matthew at Megan and Dan’s wedding in 2021. Chelsea was a bridesmaid, and her two boys were pageboys. When she contacted me about her own wedding I was very excited to be capturing them all again.

This wedding was a very relaxed, informal family affair. I met Matthew and the wedding guests inside Barnsley Town Hall just before the ceremony start. I’d already popped down the The Beehive at The Garrison to capture the room set up prior to the guests arrival, and it looked absolutely stunning. The room had been set up by family and friends, and they’d done an amazing job.

The ceremony was full of smiles from both the couple and their guests. Chelsea walked down the aisle with their eldest son, who was very proud to walk his mum into the room. At the top of the aisle she swapped his hand for Matthew’s, and they held hands throughout the entire ceremony.

After capturing some images outside the town hall we all walked down the The Beehive together. There was time for confetti and some shots on the stairs before going into the room. Guests were sitting around the beautifully decorated tables and making full use of the unique bar.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and so lovely to be part of such an intimate celebration.
