Devon & Steven had a beautiful wedding day at Wath Church, followed by a rustic reception at The Rockingham Arms, Wentworth.

I met Devon and her bridal party at The White Rooms on the morning of the wedding. Inside the stylists had gone to great lengths to make the salon ready for a wedding morning. They’d decorated the mirrors with flowers and balloons, and even got a sign to put over Devon’s mirror. Everyone was made to feel at home, and the preparations were over far too quickly.

After hair and makeup was complete, we headed back to the house for everyone to get dressed. As the finishing touches were taking place, the car arrived to transport the whole party to the church.

Inside Wath Church Devon & Steven had booked a string quartet. They played as the guests arrived, and set a wonderful atmosphere for the start of the wedding ceremony. As the bridal party began to walk down the aisle, one very special guest was excited to see them. Meg the dog sat quietly and patiently in Wath Church throughout the whole wedding ceremony, only sticking her head into the aisle for a better view of the exchange of the rings.

As we left church the drizzle began. We quickly made our way to The Rockingham Arms where the wedding reception was taking place. Inside Devon had put her touch into every detail. She knew exactly how she wanted the room to look, and the wedding coordinators there created her vision perfectly.

The rain stopped just enough to let us grab half of the group shots out in the grounds, leaving the other half to be captured against the raw brickwork inside the building. The combination of inside and out gave an interesting mix of images to the overall wedding and it worked really well.

When the wedding breakfast was over it was time for the evening reception to begin. Guests were putting their requests in with the DJ and the dancefloor was full right through the evening.
