Faye & Lee’s Story
Faye and Lee had a relaxed wedding at the Bluebell banqueting suite, Barnsley.
I met Lee outside the Fairway pub before the wedding. He looked very smart in his blue suit, and as always happens his mum was helping him fix his corsage. As the rest of the groomsmen and guests began to arrive there was a lot of excitement about the day ahead, and the breakfast for the morning after!
We made our way to the Bluebell banqueting suite for the wedding ceremony. Faye arrived with her bridesmaids, flower girls and page boy. The older bridesmaids all wore classic knee length silver dresses with white bouquets. The flower girls had white floaty dresses, star wands and beautiful sparkly nail varnish. The page boy had a light grey suit and matching corsage to fit in with the Groomsmen.
After the ceremony there were balloons and bubbles for the little ones to play with, and they were entertained for hours. The flower girls must have run up and down the garden a hundred times with their balloons following them.
An Informal Afternoon
As they had a late wedding Faye and Lee chose to have a buffet style meal rather than a formal sit down dinner. They chose not to have traditional speeches, instead the best man raised a toast to the newlyweds and everyone continued with their day.
By moving away from the formality of the wedding breakfast the younger children were free to run around in the enclosed garden and continue playing throughout the afternoon. They picked at the buffet as they wished, and had a wonderful afternoon.
As the evening reception began the bride and groom scooped up their daughter for a twirl on the dancefloor. She loved dancing with her parents and watching her dress spin around.
My favourite part of the day was the bridesmaid dresses. I loved the style; they were cool in the sunshine and suited them all even though they were different shapes.
