Rosie & Patrick’s Day
Rosie and Patrick held their wedding at The Priory Barn & Cottages near Wetherby in March.
The day began at the venue where I found Patrick and the other Groomsmen having their buttonhole straightened by his Mum (which seems to happen at every wedding!). I took the opportunity to sneak into the reception room, which looked amazing. It had been decorated by Natasha Jane Events, who also provided the floristry for the day.
All the table numbers were Toy Story themed, and the cake was fantastic. It was created by Quite Contrary Cakes, and while one side was decorated in a beautiful pink and golden flower theme, the other was Toy Story.
I went back upstairs to the ceremony room to wait for Rosie to make her entrance. She looked stunning as she walked down the aisle, there were lots of tears.
After the ceremony we all headed to the courtyard. I whisked Rosie and Patrick off to make the most of the good weather and the beautiful surroundings. There were so many places to explore; we could have spent hours walking around the grounds.
The Reception
When we arrived back at the Barn people had started to venture into the Wedding Breakfast room, catered for by Taste Cuisine. James Hey, who had been playing earlier in the day, had moved into the room to provide entertainment while the meal was happening.
As the day went on more and more guests spotted the ‘secret side’ to the cake. The bridesmaids had the daunting task of turning it around before the evening reception. The night went on and more guests began to arrive.
I left everyone on the dancefloor showing off their moves!
My favourite part of the day had to be the cake topper. Mr & Mrs. Potato head are some of my favourite Toy Story characters, and they looked really good on top of the fourth tier.
