Whitney & Leon | Wortley Hall Hotel, Sheffield - Charlotte Elizabeth Photography

I was the photographer for Whitney and Leon's wedding at Wortley Hall hotel this summer. They had a perfect day, surrounded by all their friends and family.

On the morning of the wedding I met Whitney and all her bridesmaids in one of the bedrooms at Wortley. They’d all stayed the evening before, and the room was full of excited energy. Between the hair, make up, breakfast and moving into the bridal suite, the morning was gone in what felt like a second. It was then time to go downstairs for the wedding ceremony.

In the ceremony room the guests had all gathered and waited in anticipation of Whitney’s arrival. As she walked down the aisle all eyes were on her. Leon’s expression changed from nerves to overwhelming happiness as soon as she came into the room.

After the ceremony we all went outside for the group photographs. The steps of Wortley Hall make the perfect spot to get everyone together. From there everyone began to fully enjoy the grounds. As a photographer, Wortley Hall hotel's grounds are perfect. They're large enough for all the guests to spill out into, and there are beautiful backgrounds in every direction. The bouncy castle was a huge hit with all the children (and some of the adults!). Before we knew it the sun was going down and it was time to head indoors for the evening reception.

When Whitney & Leon had done their first dance, all the guests joined them on the dancefloor. It stayed full for the entire evening with people dancing, singing and laughing along to the music. The atmosphere was busy, excited and mostly – happy. It was a perfect day.
